Ivan's body is brought home in the middle of the night by an unknown person. The film then unfolds through flashbacks, revealing the relationships among Ivan and his brother Alex, a cop with a cleanliness fetish; siblings Juliette and Jimmy, Ivan's partners in a seedy nightclub; Marie, a professor of philosophy who is involved in a love triangle with Alex and Juliette; and Alex's nephew, Ivan's son.
