Story

The story revolves around Servais Mont, a photographer who meets Nadine Chevalier, an actress earning money through soft-core films. Mont borrows money from loan sharks to finance a theatrical production of 'Richard III', giving Nadine a role in hopes of helping her escape her current career path. As they grow closer during rehearsals, Nadine finds herself torn between Servais and her husband Jacques, with whom she feels moral obligations. The tension between these relationships drives the narrative.

Summary

L'important c'est d'aimer (Life is Worth Living) is a 1975 French-Polish drama film directed by Andrzej Żuławski. The movie explores themes of love, ambition, and the complexities of human relationships through the story of Nadine Chevalier, an actress struggling to break free from her exploitative career in soft-core films, and Servais Mont, a photographer who attempts to help her achieve artistic legitimacy. Despite its limited information, the available sources suggest a compelling narrative centered around Nadine's internal conflict between her newfound feelings for Servais and her moral obligations towards Jacques.
