Geschichte
Sarah returns home from a mental institution in Portland, Oregon. Her husband Alan, a classical music critic, plans a recuperative trip to Italy for Sarah's recovery, but she doesn't want to leave their house. Alan introduces Kelly as their caretaker while they're away, but before they depart, Jesse, Kelly's small-time criminal boyfriend, arrives unexpectedly at the house. Later, Kelly's brother Tim also shows up to stay with her. Meanwhile, Alan and Sarah travel to Italy where secrets about their past begin to surface, including why Sarah had a mental breakdown.
