Jack, a pool cleaner in Las Vegas, becomes entangled with his mobster employer's wife, leading to him being chased by goons sent by the mobster. Seeking refuge, Jack convinces his best friend Pilot to flee with him. Pilot insists on going to Seattle but keeps his reasons hidden from Jack. On their journey, they pick up Cassie, a distressed young woman who becomes close with Jack.
