Ghostwriter Alice returns to Malta after an accident that caused her memory loss and writer's block. She stays in her husband Max's family villa with him, hoping that revisiting the location will help unlock her memories. Upon arrival, they meet Sara, a sensual Mediterranean woman hired to help around the house. Alice forms a bond with Sara while experiencing cryptic nightmares about the accident. Body of Deceit is a 2017 Italian mystery thriller directed by Alessandro Capone. The film revolves around ghostwriter Alice who suffers from memory loss and writer's block after a tragic accident in Malta. She returns to the island with her husband Max, hoping that revisiting the scene will help her recover both physically and professionally.
