Story
Séverine Serizy (Catherine Deneuve), a beautiful young woman married to Dr. Pierre Serizy, struggles with her masochistic fantasies that she cannot reconcile with her everyday life. Séverine's friend Henri tells her about Madame Anais' high-class brothel, and intrigued by the idea of a double life, Séverine begins working there during the days under the name Belle de jour.
