Frank Kitchen, an ace assassin, is betrayed by gangsters who hand him over to a rogue surgeon known as The Doctor. Frank undergoes a drastic transformation when The Doctor performs surgery that changes his physical appearance into that of a woman. The operation is part of the gangsters' plan to eliminate Frank without raising suspicion among their criminal associates. Frank awakens from the surgery with his new female identity and sets out on a mission for revenge against those who wronged him. Along the way, he receives assistance from Johnnie, a nurse with her own secrets.

Assignment (2016) is an action-thriller film directed by Walter Hill. The movie centers around Frank Kitchen, a skilled assassin who finds himself in a deadly predicament when he's double-crossed by gangsters. In order to conceal their crimes and avoid retaliation from other criminal factions, the gangsters hire a rogue surgeon known as The Doctor to alter Frank's appearance permanently. This radical transformation forces Frank to navigate his new reality while seeking vengeance against those who betrayed him.
