Geschichte
In the Basque Country of Spain, in 1609, Judge Rostegui arrives with his entourage to purify a coastal village full of women after the men have gone off to sea. Five young girls—Ana, Olaia, María, Maider, and Katalin—are arrested without cause. Under interrogation and torture, they are accused of witchcraft. Ana convinces the others to fabricate a story about their participation in a Sabbat ritual to convince Rostegui that they are indeed witches, hoping that their fathers will return during the full moon tide to save them. Meanwhile, Rostegui becomes suspicious of their true nature and intentions.
