'10 to Midnight' (1983) is a crime thriller directed by J. Lee Thompson, set in the gritty streets of Los Angeles. The film explores themes of guilt, revenge, and the blurred line between justice and vigilantism through its protagonist, Detective Leo Kessler. Warren Stacy, a disturbed repairman with a history of mental health issues, embarks on a killing spree targeting women who reject his advances. Despite ample evidence suggesting Stacy's involvement, lack of physical proof hinders Kessler's investigation. As the body count rises and public pressure mounts, Kessler resorts to increasingly questionable methods to bring Stacy to justice.
